Good Thursday morning 🌄. I will be adding 4 music facts to today's post.   February 17th 1796 Giovanni Pacini, an Italian composer of opera was born, he was born in Catania, Sicily. Pacini's famous piece is Saffo. Giovanni Pacini died in 1867. There are five pieces of Giovanni Pacini's work in Pandoras music library as of today, including Saffo.  February 17th 1972 Italian Tenor Luciano Pavarotti receives a record 17 curtain calls after his performance in "La fille du regiment" at New York's Metropolitan Opera. 2004 Billboard song of the year "If I Ain't Got You" single by Alicia Keys. She also won a Grammy Award in 2005 for best female R&B vocal performance. February 17th 1991 British Singer songwriter Ed Sheeran was born. In 2012 Sheeran won 2 Brit Awards for best British Male Solo Artist and British breakthrough of the year. In 2016 Ed Sheeran also wins a Grammy Award for best song of the year "Thinking Out Loud". Good Wednesday morning 🌄. Here are three music facts that I will be sharing with you today.  February 16th 1985 Bruce Springsteen's album "Born In The U.S.A" went to #1 on the UK album chart, it was his first #1 album in the UK. Born In The USA was Springsteen's 7th studio album it also became the most successful selling album in1985 (and it also became Springsteen's most successful album ever). The album also produced a record tying string of 7 top 10 singles. Sonny Bono was born on this day in 1935. Sonny along with his wife Cher at the time had a #1 single "I Got You Babe" it became #1in the U.S and the U.K in 1965. Sonny became Mayor of Palm Springs California from 1988 thru 1992. Sonny had also served as a Republican Congressman for California's 44th district serving from 1995 until his death in 1998. Sonny was killed on January 5th 1998 while skiing, he was 62. Ava Max was born on this day in 1994. It was mostly the older country music, my parents loved the 60's and the 70's country. My older brothers Donny and David introduced me to what is considered classic rock today. I love all the classics like classic country, classic rock, modern country and rock, I also love opera, pop, Irish, Scottish bag pipe music ( celtic). My overall favorite music artist is Jewel. She is a singer-song writer and her main genre is Indie. @Jm2398171 Since 10/2019 which is when I became a premium subscriber I average 6.95 hours a day listening to Pandora. I must also add this, I mainly listen off line and that is not calculated into the total listening time. I'm self employed so I listen to Pandora while working, and some days is 10 + hrs. I also go to bed listening to Pandora. So I would honestly have to say my average listening time would have to be some where in the 15+ hrs a day for total listening time. I just found out the other day that Loretta Lynn is still singing at the good Ole` age of 89. She happens to be my moms favorite country music singer. I also found out that Crystal Gail is her youngest sister, she is the youngest of 8 siblings.
