Kindle Fire Tablet: Crashes and Loses Network

zitsky
Underground

Is this the right place for a Fire HD tablet?  I am open to suggestions for other ways to do this.

I have a 2015 Kindle Fire HD tablet running Pandora.  Set on auto update.

Pandora app crashes once a day.

When changing stations Pandora seems to lose network even though wifi is ok.

I'm not sure how to get version info?

I have thought about getting a newer tablet or some other device, with a screen, preferably.

Hi there, @zitsky. 👋

Sorry for any problems you're experiencing. I'm happy to help you troubleshoot.

First, I'd recommend that you restart your Fire tablet. To do that:

  1. Press and hold the power button for two to three seconds until you see the message "Do you want to shut down your Fire?" Tap OK.
  2. After the device has completely turned off, press the power button for two to three seconds to turn your Fire tablet back on.
  3. Try the Pandora app again.

If you continue to have trouble:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings and then Apps & Games.
  2. Select Manage All Applications and then All.
  3. Clear your data for the Pandora application.
  4. Then launch the Pandora app again.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes. 🎧

Hi! That works short term but it still crashes after some time. Are the app developers aware of this issue? As of the latest version it still is crashing.

Hi, @tickletest. 👋

It looks like you've also been in contact with our team via email about this issue.

Sorry to hear those steps didn't help. I would like to pass your information along to our engineers.

Could you please send me some more information about your device?

  • Model (e.g. HDX, HD7):
  • Carrier (if applicable):
  • System version*:
  • Pandora version**:
  • Are you connected to Wi-Fi or 3G when this is happening?
  • Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?

*To find the system version, swipe down from the top of your screen and select More. From there, select Device, then About, and view the System Version.

**To find the Pandora version on your device, launch the Pandora app on your Kindle Fire, tap the 3 vertical dots in the bottom right corner of the screen, and select Settings. The version number (e.g., "version 6.3") will be directly beneath Sign Out.

Thanks for your help with this!

I am having a similar issue. Pandora won't connect to my kindle fire.

Model Fire 7 2019 9 generation

Carrier I guess is Amazon Kindle fire  I access with Silk WiFi is spectrum

System version OS 7.3.2.2

Pandora version is 2203.1

I was told together an activation code. I have none. Pandora works on my old kids for with OS 5.7.00 through Silk. I get in to Pandora But get a message it can't connect. I finally get in and as soon as I shut off the kindle it won't connect again

I recently purchased a fire HD 8 and it's running 8.3.1.3 and stops playing Pandora from app requiring clicking open app and then plays next song.

I have deleted and reinstalled Pandora from Kindle as store
