We don't alter music equalization on Pandora from how it appears on the original releases unlike terrestrial radio, which may equalize or compress the entire broadcast. This can result in some volume differences between songs.
However, if you continue to experience this issue, let's try troubleshooting your Android device by completing our Android Troubleshooting steps.

As for the mixing songs together feature, while this feature isn't currently a feature, the best way to get your ideas heard is by going to our feature request space.
We actually have an open feature request for this under Feature Request: Crossfade / Gapless Audio Playback.
Make sure to like and comment on that feature request and hopefully, we get that implemented onto Pandora soon!

Thanks for shouting this out and sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.
For Pandora Plus subscribers, we will automatically choose your three most listened-to stations, along with Thumbprint Radio, and add them to your offline listening stations.
If your Thumbprint Radio is not downloaded for offline listening, is it possible that this might be occurring because there is not enough storage on your device? Pandora will never use the last 500MB of storage on your device, so we will only download as many stations as we can before we hit that limit. If it doesn't appear to be storage related, I'd recommend disabling the offline listening feature and re-enabling it, which will reset the download process. Then, make sure to keep Pandora in the foreground of your device while the download completes.
To do that from a mobile device:
Tap the Profile tab and then the Settings gear in the top right corner.
Toggle Offline Mode off, and confirm that you'd like to remove the content from your device.
Toggle Offline Mode on again, to reset the download process.
Keep the Pandora app in the foreground of your device while your offline stations re-download.
If you continue to have trouble, please send over a screenshot showing the status of the downloads:
Tap the Profile tab and then the Settings gear in the top right corner.
Next select Offline. You should now be able to view a progress bar indicating the current download status.
Take a screenshot of what you see here and attach it to your direct reply to this email.

To fully close out the app, please check out our accepted solution to view the steps on how to exit the Pandora app.
In addition, I recommend performing some basic troubleshooting steps for on your Android device.
From your Android Settings, please try clearing the Pandora app data using the following steps (not to worry, we'll keep track of your profile and collection for you):*
Open your device Settings
Tap Apps
Scroll down to find Pandora
Select Storage
On the storage details page tap Clear Data.
Please note that you will be asked to log into your account after completing these steps. Also, if you have any offline content downloaded, you would need to re-download that content.

When Pandora is playing in the background, does the app automatically open (when not intended to) when an ad starts or the next song starts playing?

Microsoft Edge Browser Troubleshooting
If youโre having issues using Pandora in Edge, often times quitting your browser completely, re-opening it and going back to www.pandora.com can help.
If that doesn't work, try these steps:
Clear your browser's history, cache and cookies.
Click on the three dots in the top right (located on the browser toolbar).
Select Settings.
Select Choose what to clear under the Clear browsing data title.
Check the boxes for Browsing History, Cookies and saved website data and Cashed data and files.
Click Clear.
Turn off extensions like Disable HTML5 Autoplay, Adblock, and NoScript, or allow www.pandora.com within them.
If you are using an internet firewall or anti-virus program, it could be blocking portions of our site. Try allowing access to www.pandora.com within those programs, and then try visiting our site again. If this doesn't help, then try disabling such programs entirely as a test to see if this affects your issue.
Finally, restart your computer and then try loading www.pandora.com again.

Sorry to hear that your playback stops when playing Pandora, this may be happening because of your battery optimization settings.
When updating the OS on Android devices, the battery optimization on all apps may be automatically turned back on by default. This can cause performance issues or interfere with playback when the app is backgrounded. Due to the sheer volume of Android devices, we are unable to provide step by step instructions for each and every device. I recommend looking up the steps to manage battery optimization for the specific make and model of your device and disable this for the Pandora app.
You can also find more info about the battery optimization in this helpful article.
However, if you have a Samsung device, this issue may be related to your "sleeping app" settings. Please check out this post regarding the settings for sleeping apps here.

I apologize for the continued trouble with your offline content, I understand how frustrating and annoying this can be.
As to your disappearing downloaded content, were you recently logged out of your account or performed our Android Troubleshooting steps?
Doing the troubleshooting steps or logging back into your account will cause your offline content to disappear and will need to be re-downloaded.
If you haven't done any of these steps, please let me know and I will pass your feedback to an open ticket we have with our engineers.

As for the search bar in your offline collection, while this isn't a current feature on Pandora, I recommend upvoting this similar feature request: Expand Search Bar Function in My Collection.
I totally agree with you, having a search bar within our My Collections will make it easier to sort through and directly play the content we want to hear. Hope to see this feature implemented on Pandora!

Would you mind sending a screenshot of the media player on your notifications screen? In addition, do you have the app installed on an SD card?
If so, widgets will become inoperable and not work right if installed on the SD card. You will need to keep the app installed to the phone's local memory and the widget should work fine.
