I've been trying to play podcasts on my pandora mobile for a little while, and it just continually skips the podcasts through episodes and never plays. Ive attempted to uninstall, clear data cache, etc. As well as went through the troubleshooting guide to no avail. Ive got a galaxy s8 active

@Four20Hellcat @Kevinp2389 Thanks for reporting this to the community.

I recommend running through the troubleshooting steps provided on our help page for Android devices, as this may resolve the issue you are experiencing.

If that doesn't help, can you please send over a bit more info about your devices so that I can escalate this to our engineers?

  • Model:
  • Carrier:
  • Android version (Settings > About Phone):
  • Build number (Settings > About Phone):
  • Android Security Patch Level, if noted on your device (Settings > About Phone):
  • Pandora version:
    • If you can open Pandora, go to Profile, then select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the screen for the version number.
    • If you can't open Pandora: from Android Home screen > Android Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Find Pandora

Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening?

Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?

Thanks for working with me on this. 🤝

Everytime I go to play a station it will play the first song then skip 3 or 4 songs then play another. And when I tried to listen to my favorite podcast it skips and skips and skips and skips, refusing to play an episode. I've tried signing oit multiple times, and even reinstalling the app, but nothing works.

Hey Four20Hellcat, I'm having the same issue with my Pandora account. I also pay for the 5.45 package for no ads and skips. It doesn't matter which station I'm listening to, Pandora will randomly skip, without me touching the phone, to the next song and it's been happening for a while. Pandora is up to date, I've restarted my phone and it still continues to randomly skip. Any help from Pandora would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Eggcarzykidd and @Wilibili, thanks for letting us know. Sorry for any trouble listening to Podcasts.

Can you let me a little more about what is happening when you try to play Podcast?

  • Are you able to start a podcast but playback stops?
  • Does it skip through without playing?
  • Does it play but then starts to skip?
  • Are there any error messages that pop up? If so, what do they say?

Also, can you send over a bit more info about your device?

the podcast won’t play, if I turn on auto play it will jump to the next episode and keep jumping without end. I tried to play episode 8 and it skipped all the way to 50.

Are you receiving any error messages? If so, what exactly does it say? No specific errors

To clarify, this happens with every podcast? Or, specific ones? I’m only experiencing this with Geek & Sundrys Critical Role (it’s the only one I listen to)

Can you send over a bit more info about your device?

  • Model: iPhone 6s
  • Carrier: Verizon
  • iOS 13.5.1
  • Pandora version: 2006.1

Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening? Issues occurs with both data and WiFi

Hey everyone!

@TannerPandora and I checked in with the engineering team on this one. This appears to be an error on the Geeks and Sundry side.

It looks like there are now two podcasts as Critical Role has separated from Geeks and Sundry. After checking from our end, the Vox Machina episodes are now unavailable on multiple podcasting platforms.

The podcast Critical Role by Critical Role has the most current feed for this particular show. You can find Season 2 of the podcast here.

For some reason Pandora will not play my podcasts. I can listen to any song, but as soon as I click a podcast it just buffers and skips every single episode. How do I fix this? It was working yesterday and my wifi is showing a strong signal so I'm at a loss for what to do.

Also, it only buffers for about 1 to 2 seconds before skipping, no real buffer time happening.

Hey there, @Nikice95. 👋

Thanks so much for reporting this, and sorry to hear that you're running into trouble while you listen.

Could you tell me a bit more about what is happening?

  • Does this happen with any podcast or one specifically? If so, what is the name of the podcast?
  • Does this issue occur when you listen to music (stations, albums, songs)?
  • Have any error messages popped up? If so, what does it say?

Let me know. 🎧
