Shuffle Button Doesn't Work

the shuffle will not activate when i try to press the button.

Same happened to me. I'm using a web browser from my cell. Lost most of my playlist and cannot schuffle. Only the through the ones allowed

This is not currently a feature of Pandora. Unfortunately, we do not offer a way to listen from your web browser from a mobile device. Instead, you'll be redirected to the Pandora app automatically. 

Would you mind sharing more details about how you're listening?

  • What is the make and model of your device? (ex. Mac Computer with Safari, Android phone, etc.]
  • If you're using a computer, which browser are you using? 

Let me know, and I can send over troubleshooting steps based on how you're listening. 🎧

I have a subscription and Pandora used to suffle ALL the stations i have created.  one day i added 3 or 4 new stations and the DO NOT SHUFFLE AT ALL.  its like they are ignored.  all new stations i add now will not get included when i use shuffle, which is all i ever do.  how does this get fixed?

Could you tell me a bit more about what is happening?

  • Which web browser are you using?
  • Also, are you able to shuffle any stations at all? Or access the shuffle feature?

I am using Chrome.

I am able to change stations as I have at least 15 or so however the shuffle feature does not seem to work.

Hi Alyssa,

   Thanks for responding.  This is on a new desktop unit at work running Windows 8.1 and I am using Google Chrome.  It can't be the browser b/c it worked perfect for years at my other shop and it has been shuffling fine on this new unit, until I recently decided to add more stations.

Please let me know of any troubleshooting, resets or reconfigs you can suggests.

I am using my desk top and the app for Pandora. I am using Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.. Shuffle is not working.

Thanks for clarifying that info, @hsmolin @asuss06.

  • I would recommend running through these steps to see if it helps with shuffle while using your Chrome browser to see if this helps while I have a trace enabled on your accounts. 
  • For this trace to be useful (in case we need to report to engineering), I’ll need you to run through our troubleshooting steps once more.
  • You can also try using a different browser to determine whether this issue is browser-related.

Let me know how it goes. If you still have trouble, I can have a specialist from our User Support team to assist with sending over a link for a diagnostic browser test for each of your accounts.

i did everything in that complete list with success on all of them, but after two days of using Pandora, nothing has changed.  Any other suggestions and advice?  if not, them please escalate my problem to the support team for further help.

Please escalate as all of your recommendations have been tried and it is still not shuffling. I see that it is a very common issue as others are having similar problems. If nothing can be fixed I will move over to Spotify which never has given me any problem.

I also am having trouble with shuffle on my Windows 10 computer with Chrome browser.  Pandora shows that it is shuffling, but never plays anything outside of the first station I was on.  It's been like this for about a week.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

hi Alyssa,

its been 8 days and i still havent heard from anyone regarding my problem.  and since we last spoke, i now cannot add any new stations to my collection.  the simply isnt an option anymore for me to add stations.  i only have perhaps 30 stations and i know im allowed up to 100.

im hoping to hear from someone soon or i just might have to end my relationship with Pandora and seek out a new music service.  i paid money for my service so i should expect some fixes.

I double checked, and someone responded to your message on April 1st, 2020 at 9:26 am. The support specialist sent over a link via email to run the diagnostic but I'm not seeing a response.

Did you receive the email?

If not, could you please try checking your spam / junk folder to make sure it didn't end up there? I've ensured that the email was resent today.

What happened to the SHUFFLE option? It has totally disappeared. I have been though many posts and forums. None of the info provided is applicable because the SHUFFLE option is nowhere to be found. It appears that Thumbprint might replace SHUFFLE, but that works differently and is not what I want. Is SHUFFLE still available and if so, how do I find it on my Windows 10 PC. I have tried both the web version and app version.
