It seems that we're hearing the same tunes over and over on Pandora. If the library at Pandora is this weak, is it time to pack up my family account and move to Spotify?
Hi @Kilojolts1 , welcome to the Pandora Community!
To keep things tidy, I moved your post to the My Collection space.
I checked the account linked to your Pandora Community profile and that doesn't seem to be the account you normally use, so I have created a ticket with our support team for you.
They will be contacting you privately via email to help look into this further, so please keep an eye out for their message.
In the meantime, if you have questions about how the stations work or if you want some tips to avoid repetition you may want to check the accepted solution of the "Tips for better stations" post.
What I would recommend you directly is to check your thumbs up and the variety added to the stations.
Thumbed down tracks narrow down the song pool, and Thumbed up tracks, on the other hand, act like seeds that inspire similar music to play. Also adding Variety will do that, add more seeds to inspire different songs to play.
Let me know if you have question!
These kinds of comments are always confusing to me. You are comparing Pandora Stations to Spotify which is primarily a on demand streaming service. If the stations are playing the same artists, just get a Pandora Premium subscription and pick the artist and the albums and songs you want to hear. Create your own playlists. Also your comment provides no details, which stations are playing the same artists? who are the artists that are being repeated? How many times have you given songs by that artist thumbs ups? How many songs have you given thumbs down to? Have you deleted all your thumbs ups and downs to open up the channel again? With absolutely no details not sure what you are hoping your comment will accomplish.
If you are listening to an artist specific station that is already limiting what you are going to hear. If you are a premium subscriber, look at how many albums are available for the artist you listed. That’s what they have to pull from for the most part. Also if you are thumbing up songs or thumbing down, you are also adding in limits to what you will hear. Pandora is owned by SiriusXM and the SiriusXM app is better than Pandora and has far more stations available. Also if you have a Premium account just create a playlist and add as many songs from as many different artist that is available, hit shuffle and there you go.
