Resolved 6/2/24: DirecTV: Playback skips to next track after approximately 1-2 minutes

For three weeks now Pandora stops mid way in every song and switches to the next song. Its been three weeks now. No help from Pandora. They blame the TV manufacturing or the cable company.

The songs continue to stop as they have in the past and has not been fixed as of today.

My Directv software updated and now Pandora will not play at all. Looks
like Directv is out to destroy Pandora. At least they have made the app
unusable and worthless.

I never received an update from DirecTV but I did receive one from Pandora. I used the app this morning and it was fine

Sorry to hear this. Can you confirm the version you received from DirecTV. Does Pandora no longer load or loads but doesn't play?

I know the release from DirecTV is staggered. While I don't have an exact timeline, it may not have reached you yet. For more info on their latest release, I recommend reaching out to DirecTV support.

Yes, Pandora is fine on other devices and probably on other satellite or cable TV providers. The problem seems to be solely with DirecTV.

How do I know if they made an update? I have not seen or got an update from DTV as far I am seeing on my TV. Normally they do their updates at night but will llet you know there is an update.
If you know something that I don't please let me know.

Go to the settings menu, click on device management, then click on info and test. Under software you’ll see the load and date loaded. Mine is 0x1be9 and that fixed the issue

I just looked at my Software update and it was done as follows:
0x1bdd, Friday 3/7, 4:15a
It does give me an option to retest but I am not sure what that is and if you know anything that might help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have heard nothing from DirecTV other than a call out of the blue to offer great deals on premium channels and I have no knowledge of any updates.

What is the retest I can’t do it right now anyway because Centurylink has my phone out for so my Internet isn’t working for the last month
