Getting discovery & artist messages while upgraded

Why does pandora have the artists introducing songs? I pay for the premium service so I don’t have to hear ads. To me, this is the same thing. Is there a way to turn it off?

I pay dearly for my commercial-free Pandora.  Why am I getting voice promos from artists about their upcoming concerts?   It completely destroys the listening experience (send an email if you must, but not voice!).   I have a been a paying member for many years but if this persists I will quit and find another music source.

This helps much. I followed your instructions, thank you. I am
sympathetic with the artists need to promote, but suggest they instead of
voice interruptions reach out to premium subscribers to ask if
email promotions are acceptable.
