It's a little late but I wanted to share some of my playlists. Skyrim Great atmospheric music for studying, work or exploring a majestic landscape. I set aside battle music and the epic tracks in favor of ambient music to play in the background. Music of Dragon Age A really good score for a fantasy series and it helps when a major character is a singer. DA can occasionally drop a beautiful song that may be a poor fit elsewhere. Music of Mass Effect You can hear Bioware's cinematic ambitions grow over the course of the trilogy. Includes highlights from the farewell DLC, Citadel, and the unreleased Shepard of the Galaxy. Songs from Life is Strange The series is famous for its post-rock soundtrack although there's a club track in here. I think the responsiveness of a station to a new thumbs up depends on the total number of ratings. A single thumbs up can get lost among dozens or hundreds of ratings but the station will notice after three or four. I had a station ignore an artist featured in the station art. One thumb in discovery mode didn't make a difference among a few dozen. The artist began appearing in the my station mode after three thumbs and now shows up regularly. ... View more

You may want to make sure the playlist doesn't switch over to autoplay after it runs through your selections. You can disable autoplay in Settings>Advanced. The cover art for my Laid Back Morning Radio changed from Norah Jones to Fleetwood Mac. The Norah Jones thumbnail caught my eye and she's featured regularly in my rotation. I'm not a Fleetwood Mac fan and I'd probably hit skip if they showed up. Also, the thumbnail switched from a predominantly dark color scheme to mostly white. I'm looking for a new image that I don't associate with my station. I would like to be able to pick cover art that's meaningful for me and keep that image so I can easily find it when scanning a long list. Others in this thread have also commented on thumbnails switching to an artist they don't listen to on that station. Option one is let users visit an album and bring up "Assign Album Art to Playlist" and "Assign Album Art to Station." That's probably the more straightforward approach. My DM organizes his music library by setting and mood. He selects a category for a scene and hits random. Sometimes we all pause when the perfect music cue starts at just the right moment. You could create playlists like Combat, Exploration, Nature, Nautical, Taverns, and Spooky. Skyrim has great background music for exploration. I created a playlist with my favorites here. If you're looking for something authentic, Pandora has a lot of nature sounds including dozens of tracks from the Disney nature films. You can find music for taverns from Skyrim, Dragon Age 2, and an entire album of bard songs from Dragon Age Inquisition. You can curate a playlist and hit random but be careful about letting it slip to Autoplay. Autoplay is nice but it may select some off the mark tracks. I ran into the same problem with stations like 90's Alternative. The station rarely plays female artists even when I only had a few thumbs ups. I think the algorithm notices differences between male and female artists and will favor the former if the station seeds only list male artists. It looks like Texas/Red Dirt doesn't include any women in the station seeds. You could create your own version of Texas/Red Dirt and change the mix of seeds. Pandora, can you ask the curators to keep an eye on the station seeds? A quick test is to create a station in a genre with many successful female artists but none in the station seeds and see what happens. ... View more
