I noticed the same thing and got excited and then realized it wasn’t an actual update. For some reason it is just saying it was updated this month due to fact it stopped updating last March. I still don’t understand why they haven’t removed these playlists, they are are prominently displayed in certain sections. This makes no sense since they are dead playlists.  It definitely was one of my favorite features.  I feel at this point Pandora isn’t going to remove them or reactivate them. So I have decided to try and create my own public playlist that is updated on a regular basis. I am calling it, The Pandora Daily Playlist. For me, the music,musicians, and some of my most memorable moments were from early 1980’s, until around the “Grundge” of the early 90’s.  Growing up, it was what is now called classic METAL. Megadeth, Meteal Church, Iron Maiden,Anthrax( thrash),Black Sabbath , and Metallica. This music brings on a lot of nostalgia. I’ve gotta blowing in my ear right now.  You can’t beat that. Do people actually like that? Who wouldn't want finite control? One thing I've found I have to do now is never upvote anything because as you say, it utterly derails the station and I have to just delete and start it over at that point because once that upvote is in place you can't alter the change it mskes.   Please fire whoever came up with this idea and all the chuckleheads who agreed with it. ... I think the responsiveness of a station to a new thumbs up depends on the total number of ratings. A single thumbs up can get lost among dozens or hundreds of ratings but the station will notice after three or four. I had a station ignore an artist featured in the station art. One thumb in discovery mode didn't make a difference among a few dozen. The artist began appearing in the my station mode after three thumbs and now shows up regularly. ... View more

You may want to make sure the playlist doesn't switch over to autoplay after it runs through your selections. You can disable autoplay in Settings>Advanced.
