Hi, I'm having a similar issue, only I have autoplay turned off. Every time I close down the app and reopen it, songs still start playing automatically, and I just want it to stop doing that.
I have an LG Velvet 5G, and the app version I have is 2110.1, if that helps.

Hey, @harasnicole. 👋
Thanks so much for sharing those details. I'll report this over to our engineering team for you.
Have you noticed any error messages when this happens?
Nope. No errors. The app let me turn off autoplay just fine, it just didn't seem to stick.
On my android phone I have Auto Start disabled. Recently the app started playing every time I open it. How do I get the app to revert back to requiring me to press play.

Pixel 5 on metro. Everytime I launch Pandora it automatically plays wherever I left off. I have toggled auto play on and off. Still playing on launch. Very annoying

I have turned auto-start (the function that makes music begin as soon as you open the app) off, because I find it annoying. This worked for a time, but now music begins when I open the app regardless of this setting being off or on.
@Junnoe Can you please send over a screenshot of your settings showing you have that feature turned off?
Additionally, please try running through the troubleshooting steps listed here.
Thanks for working with me on this. 🤝

I get the same thing on my Samsung s9. I have turned off my phone. I have even deleted and reinstalled the app while turning off the phone between for it to recoup whatever it likes to do. I toggle it constantly. I even toggle it on and then close it and then go and toggle off and bam it doesn't work. This happened once before and somehow it got fixed but this time its not. So annoying! Especially when you use this for a business.
@Groovygreenleaf Sorry for any trouble.

Streaming Pandora in a business setting:
It sounds like you're using Pandora to play music in a public setting (which is not considered personal use).
If so, we have a solution for you. Pandora is available and optimized for use in settings like these through Mood Media, with features like unlimited listening, no advertising, and a media player that can connect to your existing sound system.
Additionally, due to the terms of our music licenses, the consumer version of the Pandora service (including Pandora Plus and Pandora Premium) cannot legally be used to play music in a commercial or public setting. Any Pandora listening that isn't personal and private, even for non-profit or tax exempt organizations, must be properly licensed through Mood Media, which fairly compensates artists, authors, composers, publishers and other rightsholders.
Use of Pandora in these settings is available only via hardware sold by Mood Media. To learn more or sign up, click here.

Same problem here. I use the Pandora app on my Pixel 5 running Android 12. Though auto-start is turned off, the app insists on starting when opened. I have tried clearing my app storage and cache, and uninstalling/reinstalling the app. This setting (turn auto-start off) just does not work. Please fix it!
