I've bought a new phone and cast on pandora to sonos is missing...
My tv is available but no sonos... It was available on my old phone
mod edit: changed title for clarity
Hey, @Zorrodrums. 👋
Thanks for posting about your experience. We have seen other mentions of listeners having trouble with casting to Sonos from their Android devices. I'd like to report your issue to our engineering team as we have an internal ticket open for this issue. Can you send over a bit more info about your device?
Appreciate your help with this. 🎧
Hello,
I have a Samsung S10 (SM-G973U) running Android 11 with the latest version of the Pandora App (2101.1), the latest version of the Sonos App (13.0), and the latest version of the Sonos firmware. Also, I have verified that my device is connected to the same WIFI as my Sonos devices. However, when I open the Pandora App and play anything the cast icon is not present.
On a side note, when I run the Spotify App on my S10 I am able to cast to my Sonos speakers and I also have an Apple iOS tablet with the Pandora App installed where I am able to successfully cast to my Sonos speakers.
Given this, it appears there may be an issue with the Pandora App running on Android devices as we have several S10 devices in the household and I also have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 tablet running Android 9 where the Pandora App will not cast to any of the Sonos speakers.
Anyone else having this issue?
Same issue Samsung S10 AT&T Sonos 13.0.5 Pandora 2103.1 Android tuner.. No casting icon.. I do get the casting capability on my iPad
Hi there, @jlar5011 @KeeneBecker. 👋
If you haven't already, I would recommend running through these steps: Android Troubleshooting
@jlar5011 if you continue to have trouble, please post the following so I can report this.
Thanks for your help with this. 🎧
I have a casting icon on my Pandora screen but my Sonos system will not accept the connection, says the "Cast Failed"
Hi there, @pjp720. 👋
Thanks for posting about this. Let's try some troubleshooting steps to see if they help.
Feel free to me know how it goes. 🎧
I'm seeing this too. Already tried the basics. The speaker is linked to my Google Assistant and Google Home, and Pandora can see the speaker, but I get "Connection Failed" when I try to connect. I also get redirected to install the old Sonos app which isn't compatible with my Beam Gen 2.
Model: Pixel 5, Sonos Beam Gen 2
Carrier: T-Mobile
Android version (Settings > About Phone): 12
Pandora version (Go to Profile, then select Settings. Scroll to the bottom of the screen for the version number): 2112.1
Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when this is happening? Wi-Fi
Have you identified any other patterns or notable information? No issues connecting to the speaker with the Sonos app. Pandora works fine with the TV on the same Wi-Fi. I can also see the speaker on Fing. Unlike other providers, Pandora isn't available in the Sonos app.
@Mth908 Can you please send us a screenshot of the error you are seeing?
Thanks for the help!

The button to initiate casting to Sonos S1 works occasionally, but ultimately fails. Casting to an S2 system is even less reliable. I've seen many many posts about this but nothing but boilerplate solutions (check version, etc). Isn't there any clear reason why this problem exists and some general fix available after all this time? Or even an explanation that we can use to solve our own problem? I'd love to subscribe to Pandora but this is a deal breaker. It works fine on Sp...fy so I am left to subscribe to them instead.

Sorry for the delay. The email notifications were going to my spam folder.
Hi Alyssa,
Havent heard anything from your engineering team. Since this problem has been around a LONG time, I was hoping they would have a quick answer.
Can you provide an update?
Thanks
Thank you for providing that screenshot, @Mth908. I've added this to the ticket.
At this time, I do not have any updates from our engineering team, @thupton. Any new updates will be posted on this thread. Thank you for your continued patience.
Any updates on this issue? It's getting a little irritating. Surprised that it hasn't been fixed after 1 1/2 years
Hi, @Mth908. 👋
Sorry to hear that you're still having trouble. Unfortunately, our engineers have been unable to reproduce this issue in order to release a fix. As a result, I do not have any updates and have no timeline available for when it might be resolved. In the meantime, I have passed your feedback along regarding this issue. 🎧
