Android: Pandora Starts Playing After Being Closed
Our engineers are aware of this issue and they're working on it.
Please check here for updates. We appreciate your patience.
Hi there, @Cestepp. 👋
Sorry to hear that this is happening.
Does this issue occur when you're listening in offline mode?
Is is one station in particular? Or, does this happen with any station?
Can you please send me a screenshot of exactly what you're seeing when that error message pops up?
Let me know. 🎧
Why do I get error message "This station is currently unavailable" after playing that station for a few hours? I can switch to another station which instantly works fine. If I switch back, same error message.
I have a screen shot in my Gallery but I don't see how to attach it.
Hi, @jkulas. 👋
To keep the community space organized, I moved your post over to this existing thread: Error Message: "This station is unavailable."
To attach a screenshot to your community post:
Error Message + Details:
Would you mind providing a bit more info about what you're experiencing?
If this is happening on one specific device, please send:
This will give me a better sense of what's causing this, and we can go from there. 🎧
Aha, I see how to attach now 🤪
This happens in my home use, typically on the weekends when I listen to Pandora a lot.
I think it is happening just on this station. I listen to only two stations.
I have a Galaxy S9+
@jkulas Thanks for confirming that info.
I've taken a look at your account, and I think you're seeing that message pop up as a result of a very high number of Thumbed down tracks on that station.
Here's how to edit thumbs from the backstage page:
Hope this information is helpful. Let me know if you continue to have trouble with this. 🎧
What is you play on shuffle all the time and are getting that message? It doesn't tell you what station is unavailable. How do I know which station to modify my thumbs down on?
Hey there, @mkasprzak70. 👋
Is your Shuffle selection still the same right now? Is it a customized shuffle?
Or, are you clicking on "Shuffle All"?
Also, can you share a photo of when the error message pops up during your listening session?
Let me know, and I can take a deeper look for you. 🎧
If the issue persists, could you mind sharing a screenshot so that I can see when the error message pops up? I'd also like to share your device info with our engineering team should it continue.
Appreciate you sticking with me on this. Let me know. 🎧
The error message screen shot is attached.
And here is my device info:
Phone Model: SM-G950U
Android Version: REV 1.0
Pandora Version: 2107.1 (ANDROID-TUNER 21071006)
And I am using cell data when connected.
@mkasprzak70 Clearing the app data won't remove your collection. With Plus and Premium subscribers, you may be required to re-download their offline tunes.
Thanks so much for providing that information. I've shared this with our engineering team on your behalf. 🎧
@mkasprzak70 Following up on your report. Someone was able to take a look at your stations - could you try listening now and let me know if that error message still pops up?
Thanks for sticking with me on this. 🤝
I get this error on my android as well as on my laptop when trying to play any station they are all broken it seems. Can you fix this as it is a backend issue not a phone/laptop issue.
Hi there, @darkatower. 👋
Thanks for reporting this. I have shared this information with the appropriate party on your behalf.
We appreciate your patience while this issue is addressed. 🎧
