Pandora Update (11/22/2024):
We appreciate everyone's patience, and understand that these issues around Apple CarPlay have been frustrating and disruptive to your listening experience in the vehicle. Our engineering teams have been working diligently to resolve this for all impacted listeners.
We're happy to announce that Pandora version 2411.1 for iOS should resolve the following issues with CarPlay:
- Listeners who experience trouble with stations loading in the Recent tab.
- Listeners who experience an error message "There was a problem loading this content".
- Listeners who experience loading issues with songs within a playlist.
- Listeners who experience the screen not automatically transitioning to the Now Playing screen.
We recommend manually updating to the latest version (2411.1) of Pandora by visiting the Apple App Store on your iOS device and using the below steps to update.
How to manually update apps on your iPhone:
- Open the App Store.
- Tap the My Account button or your photo at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.
In some cases you may need to refresh the page in order to see the update. After updating to Pandora version 2411.1, please try Pandora with CarPlay again and let us know if you're still having trouble.
Please use your mobile device in your vehicle only when conditions allow and as permitted by applicable law.

Hi Tanner, I just posted again. I am now using full iOS 18, have upgraded Pandora with the latest update and still having “We are having problems downloading this content” messages show on every channel. I removed the app from my iPhone and reinstalled it, I removed my phone from my car’s Car Play and reinstalled it, and nothing has changed, whether it is with the USB cord or wirelessly as I was doing before. It’s very frustrating!

Hi @Bytebox12
Thanks for the follow up.
Sorry to hear that you're still receiving this error message. I've moved your post over to an existing thread I created earlier today specifically for this: CarPlay: Error message "There was a problem loading this content"
I've updated our engineering team and let them know that you're still experiencing this message. Thanks for your continued patience while they take a look.

Same experience with a 2022 Ram 1500. Upgraded to iOS 18 and have the most up to date Pandora version. Fix did nothing...Pressure the engineers to fix and TEST TEST TEST...This is frustrating as a paying customer.
Apply more pressure to the Engineering Team. How come other streaming services (Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music and Youtube music) are NOT having this types of issues? Thinking some Engineering Professionals need to hit the unemployment line.

This is ridiculous. I’ve updated the app, can’t see any recent channels and when I finally DO get a channel, I see the pic above. Fix this and quickly.

There is another 3 Threads that has over 100 replies about this same issue.
Pandora did an App Update (ver 2408.1 to 2408.1.1) and still the exact same problem.
I guess they have to have a meeting to approve a budget to FIX the issues... could take months/years.
