Welcome to Tanner's Tips!
This post is dedicated to all the great features that Pandora has to offer. I'll be talking about and breaking down a Pandora feature. Some of you may be using these features everyday and others maybe not so much. My goal is to introduce something new and fun to your Pandora experience. Thanks for listening! 🎧
ALARM CLOCK
- Devices: iOS / Android (including tablets)
- Subscription: Free (ad-supported), Plus, Premium (Individual), Premium Family
Fall asleep and wake up with Pandora!

iOS Devices
Set Up Your Alarm
- Start on the Profile tab.
- Tap the Settings gear in the upper right corner.
- Scroll down to tap Alarm Clock.
- Set the time and the station you'd like to wake to. (You can also set the snooze option to 5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes.)
- Set the volume for your alarm. This volume is independent from your device's system volume, so if you mute your device, Pandora's alarm clock will still play at this volume.*
- Tap Save in the upper right.
Ready to sleep?
- Open your Settings and toggle the Alarm Clock setting to ON. You must manually toggle this on every time you want to use the alarm. Also:
- Make sure that you have a good cell or Wi-Fi connection.
- Make sure your device is plugged into a power source (recommended).
- Leave the Pandora Alarm Clock screen up and unlocked. Do not press the home button on your device nor turn the screen off.
*Note: if you close the Pandora app, lock your device, or answer a call or text, make sure to return to the unlocked Pandora Alarm Clock screen before dozing off. An alarm will still sound if you do not, but not with your selected station, and only at the system volume setting.
To continue listening after the Alarm clock goes off: Tap the song or artist name at the bottom of the alarm clock screen, and it will turn off your alarm and take you to the Now Playing screen. If you turn off your alarm, your music will pause - just press play to begin streaming.
Android Devices
The alarm clock is no longer available in the Pandora app but you can still use Pandora music as your alarm from Google's Clock app.
To use Pandora as your alarm in Google's Clock app:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the Clock app from Google and Pandora app installed.
- Open the Clock app on your Android device.
- Tap on the Alarm tab.
- Select the plus (+) symbol to create an alarm.
- Select the bell symbol and then choose Pandora.
- Select one of your recently played stations, search for your favorite station using the search icon, or check out our recommendations for early morning jams in the For You section. (Premium subscribers can also search and select specific tracks, albums, or playlists.)
- Tap the item to preview your alarm.
- Tap the return icon to go back to the alarm tab.
- Set the time, mode, and other settings.
When the alarm goes off, your music will begin to play with album art displayed in the background. At this point, you can choose to snooze or turn off the alarm. If you want to keep listening, simply tap the Continue Playing button.
When you're ready to go to sleep:
- Make sure that you have a good cellular or Wi-Fi connection.
- Make sure your device is plugged into a power source (recommended).
