No audio during music on desktop - ads have audio

Ads come through with audio, but no audio when music plays.  Problem started recently?

@Melpren Thanks for getting back to me. I haven't seen any mentions of this around the community. Let's try out these steps for your Firefox browser while I have a trace enabled on your Pandora account.

If you still have trouble, let's try rebooting your connection:

  1. Shut down your device completely;
  2. Unplug your modem and router, wait one full minute, and then plug them back in;
  3. Wait five more minutes to allow the modem and router to fully boot back up;
  4. Turn your device back on and try Pandora again.

If Pandora still isn't working, could you check if you're able to connect to your network using another streaming service, such as YouTube?

Let me know how it goes.

Hi, @Melpren. 👋

Thanks for posting on the Pandora Community!

  • How are you listening when this happens?
  • Are you using a web browser? Which one?
  • Or, are you using the desktop app?
  • If so, do you have a MAC or Windows computer?
  • Have any error messages popped up?

Thanks for your help with this. 🎧

I'm using Firefox browser, but I think I also tried Chrome & Edge.

using Windows 10 on desktop

The start-up ad play with audio, but when switch to music, no audio. I checked that speaker was "on"

No pop up messages appear

@Melpren Since this issue sounds specific to Firefox, can you please confirm if you run into similar issues when streaming audio on other websites? (ex: YouTube)

In the meantime, I recommend streaming Pandora on Google Chrome since it doesn't sound like you are running into issues there.

Thanks for working with us on this. 🤝

Hi I am having this same issue but with the pandora on my TV. I hear ads but no music. When songs come on the time showing how much time is in a song doesn’t move but the little dots thing when a song is playing does?

Hi @Papademali 👋

Thanks for writing in and sorry to hear you're having trouble listening. Can you tell me a bit more about your device?

  • What is the make and model?
  • What happens when you open Pandora?
  • Is there an error message (if yes, what exactly does it say)?

Let me know.
