Web: "We're having trouble playing audio on this device" Error

I've been getting the message attached below for the past couple of days. I'm using a laptop, Windows 11, Brave browser, the ad blockers are turned off for Pandora and yet nothing seems to work. The Pandora app on my phone works, it's using the same wifi, router and modem. How do I fix this?Screenshot 2024-03-11 010840.png

Still happening. Yes, I have restarted the computer. Yes, I have tried to use 3 different browsers. No, my IT dept. hasn't blocked anything.

Thankyou

Hi @stephanieober !

Can you tell me if you may be using a VPN or a Proxy for your work?

Let me know.

Any updates to this? This problem is still occurring for me. Sometimes it will happen multiple times in a row, song after song; sometimes it will happen a few times a day; and sometimes it can go days without occurring. Very annoying. I pay for Pandora and am considering canceling my subscription if there isn't some sort of resolution.

We're having trouble playing audio on this device.
We can't load media right now. This is commonly caused by overzealous ad blockers or privacy extensions. Please check that your browser extensions are not blocking our audio and refresh the page. If you continue to see this error you should contact support.

Hey, @kustomdan. 👋

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble with that error message. To keep everything organized, I moved your post over to this existing thread: Web: "We're having trouble playing audio on this device" Error

If you're using any ad blockers, please check out this article in our help center: How to Allowlist Pandora with your Ad Blocker

Troubleshooting:

Please try rebooting your computer to see if this helps resolve the error message.

  1. Shut down your device completely;
  2. Unplug your modem and router, wait one full minute, and then plug them back in;
  3. Wait five more minutes to allow the modem and router to fully boot back up;
  4. Turn your device back on and try Pandora again.

If you continue to have trouble, let us know and please confirm whether you're using the Pandora Desktop App or a specific web browser.
