What code are you referring to? Can you do me a favor and please take a photo for me to share?
If you're referring to the device code, it's to help Pandora and DirecTV talk to each other to associate your account with DirecTV.

From the web, visit www.pandora.com/[brand of device] and enter the activation code there (e.g. www.pandora.com/samsung).
Or, from a mobile device, open the Pandora app and go to Settings, then tap Device Activation and enter the code.
Finally, select Continue on the in-home device.

I have a paid subscription to get unlimited skips but it only allows 6 skips an hour on my directv app?

Individual manufacturers are usually responsible for the implementation of the Pandora application, so some devices may lack Pandora Plus' features.
At this time, increased skips and replays are currently only available on the devices listed here.
