To clarify, is the Pandora app located on the Xumo box or is it directly on your Samsung TV? If it's found on your Samsung TV I may have a few additional troubleshooting steps that may help.
Additionally, I checked your Pandora account associated with your community profile, and it looks like you made a new account recently. Was this to test to see if the problem was associated with your account.

Looking at your Pandora account, it sounds like this may be happening on a computer versus and Android device. Could you confirm the make and model of the device you're using when this happens.
Also, since you're a free account, are you trying to listen to a specific song or are you listening to a station and playback seems to freeze or buffer?

Do you mean when you receive an app notification with sound, the playback stops and doesn't resume?
Could you let me know the make and model of your Android?
In the meantime, I would confirm that any battery optimization settings for Pandora have been disabled. Depending on the phone you have, these steps can be slightly different. If you find that the below steps don't fit your phone, I recommend checking the owner's manual for specific steps for your make and model.
Please try the following steps:
Open your device Settings and then Apps
Scroll to find Pandora or use Search in the upper right hand corner
Select Battery
Next select Unrestricted

Unfortunately, I have limited insight into Yamaha devices on my end. Since a factory reset appears to be unsuccessful, I don't have any other troubleshooting suggestions at this time. I'd reach out to Yamaha support for any other steps they may have.

There is currently an investigation with DirecTV around the experienced you noted with tracks skipping to the next track before it's finished. The Pandora teams is working with DirecTV on this. While a timeline has not been established, keep an eye out for future DirecTV updates as this is how the issue will be addressed.

If lyrics are available for a song on Pandora, then they will be displayed below the album art. As a Free Pandora listener you can view lyrics for the currently playing song by tapping the carat (^) below the album artwork on the Now Playing screen.
Initially you will only be able to see a little snippet of the lyrics on this screen, but you can tap Show More or See all lyrics to reveal the rest.
Here is an example:
Keep in mind, lyrics may not be available for all songs.

Sometimes order can matter, maybe try the factory reset first, then power cycle after - if you haven't already done that the first go around.

You're all set to go. This may take a little bit of time to take affect, so please be patient. I'd also recommend power cycling your Yamaha by unplugging it for at least 5 minutes. Hope that helps!

Happy to help with this. I've gone ahead and removed all the devices associated with your Pandora account. This will log you out every where, and you'll need to log back into any current devices. Please note, that this may not happen immediately, and in some cases can take a little bit of time.

WearOS is back! You can install through the app store.
Make sure to have your phone near your Wear OS device, as it's required for the activation process.
Press the Power button while your watch is awake to go to your list of apps. Scroll down to open the Play Store.
Search for Pandora and tap Install.
Open Pandora after the installation is complete.
Select Login from the watch face and you'll receive a notification on your phone that will allow you to log in or create a new account.
Follow the prompts on your phone to complete the setup process. Afterwards, your stations should appear on your watch.
