Hi @JC71
Welcome to community!
Did this just start happening recently? Can you tell me if you're using a home, work or cellular network?
In the meantime, I've enabled a trace on your account. Please uninstall and reinstall the app on your iPhone.
To do that*:
- Hold down the Pandora icon on your Home screen until all the icons start "shaking."
- Then tap - in the upper left of the Pandora icon, and confirm that you want to Delete app.
- Then re-install Pandora via the App Store on your device.
*Please note: This may remove your offline content, however as a Pandora Plus listener, you should receive that offline content again automatically.
Once you've reinstalled, try Pandora again and let me know the date, time, including timezone when you run into playback stopping again, and I'll have a closer look.
Thanks for your help!

Within the past three weeks, Pandora has consistently dropped out in the middle of a song. And then starts up with another song. Or drops out completely for a little while and then comes back. I have an iPhone, which has no problems.

Hi @Seetheobvious1 , thanks for posting.
Is this only happening on your iPhone? Are you connected to mobile data or to Wi-Fi when this happens?
In the meantime, please try out the steps described here.
Let me know how it goes!

Hi @Sigli, welcome to the Pandora Community!
Can you tell me more about what's happening, please?
- Is this happening only with your playlists or with your stations too? Does it happen with any other type of content?
- Do you have the app backgrounded? Is the screen off? Or is the app active and open?
- Do you see an error message?
Thanks for working with me on this!

I first experienced this issue using my AirPods. I thought they had the problem. Then I used a BOOM and the issue was still there eliminating these devices. I then played songs in my stored music on my iPhone ( not using pandora) on these devices , no problem.
I went back to playing music on pandora in any setting ( favorites, thumbs up, etc) and in all cases the music would stop playing within 1-2 min .
Thanks

Thanks for following up, @Sigli.
Additionally, when this issue occurs:
- Is the app still open in the background where you're able to press play and resume music or do you need to close and relaunch the app to continue listening?
- Are you listening to a station, album, playlist, or podcast?
- Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data? If using Wi-Fi, are you able to recover the listening session by toggling Wi-Fi off?
- Are you using a Bluetooth connection?
Additionally, please provide both your iOS and Pandora app versions:
- iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
- Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)
Thanks for your help!

Yes app still open , when music stops. I hit play and the song starts from the beginning for about 1-2 minutes.
Are you listening to a station, album, playlist, or podcast? Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data? If using Wi-Fi, are you able to recover the listening session by toggling Wi-Fi off? Are you using a Bluetooth connection?
Yes, listening to stations and playlist . connected to Wifi at home and cellular data outside. Happens using either.
If I toggle WiFi, song starts from beginning for 1-2 minutes.
Additionally, please provide both your iOS and Pandora app versions:
iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version) Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)
IOS 18.1.1
Pandora version 2411.1
Thanks for your help!

@Sigli Thanks for providing us with that additional information.
I've enabled a trace on your account to help us better understand what's happening.
For this trace to be useful, we'll need you to run through our troubleshooting steps: Troubleshooting for iOS Devices
Let me know how it goes.

My pandora is repeatedly stopping midsong. I have updated my password, updated the app, reinstalled the app, cleared my browser cache, turned my phone off/on, disconnected from WiFi, and it keeps happening. It happens the longer I listen in one session (first hour, no issues; fourth hour, happens every song). Also arising at the same time, I have started getting an audio message that another device is using my pandora account, but no one has access and I have updated my password. Iโve had a subscription for close to 20 years and this is the first time this has happened - any ideas??

@LMABRB18 Welcome to Community!
I've move your post to the existing thread: iOS: Playback stops
I would like to report this issue. Could you tell me more about your device?
- Device & Generation: (e.g. iPhone X, iPad Air (3rd gen), etc.)
- Carrier:
- iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
- Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)
Have you identified any other patterns or notable information?
Looking forward to your reply.

When this issue occurs:
- Is the app still open in the background where you're able to press play and resume music or do you need to close and relaunch the app to continue listening?
- The app is still open - it does not freeze or buffer, it pauses and pressing the play button resumes the song.
- Are you listening to a station, album, playlist, or podcast?
- I listen to stations and playlists, and it happens with both.
- Are you connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data? If using Wi-Fi, are you able to recover the listening session by toggling Wi-Fi off?
- It happens with both wi-fi and cellular; since the song simply pauses, the listening session is still active.
- Are you using a Bluetooth connection?
- Usually yes, but it happens even when disconnected from Bluetooth.
Additionally, please provide both your iOS and Pandora app versions:
- iOS version: (Settings > General > About > Version)
- iOS version 18.1.1
- Pandora version: (Pandora > Profile tab > Settings gear & scroll to the bottom of the screen)
- version 2501.1

This is happening to me as well and it is very frustrating. This only happens when playing Pandora on my iPhone, I typically always play a station. I play Pandora all day from my PC while I work and have no issues. No one else has my password. I've restarted my phone multiple times, reinstalled the Pandora app multiple times. Cleared the cache. Removed all related storage on iOS. I've reset my iPhone network settings.
We use the Pandora family plan. I'm on an iPhone 15 on iOS 18.3.2. I am using Pandora version 2503.1. If I uninstall the app and then reinstall it, it says someone else is using my account even though this account is not logged in on any device other than my laptop and my phone, and my laptop is not even on if my phone is running Pandora. It only says someone else is using my account after a reinstall, so maybe it is confused with itself. This does work for one day after I reinstall the app. I would prefer not to reinstall Pandora every time I want to work out. Pandora runs fine if the app is in the foreground and the phone screen is on. Pandora stops running after a minute or two if it is in the background, and it doesn't matter if my phone screen is on or not. This happens even when my phone is charging. This happens on wifi. Pandora has background app refresh enabled. My wifi connection is great. When this happens I am connected via Bluetooth to speakers. The bluetooth does not get disconnected. Other audio apps do not suffer from this issue.
This issue presents itself as Pandora going to sleep (or something similar) in the background on the phone. When the music stops, I go back to Pandora to cuss at it and it always has to refresh everything and the current song starts over, every single time.
I've used Pandora for years in this manner with no issues, this is an issue that has only been occurring for a few weeks. I've contacted support and they changed my password and it worked again for one day.
