@Ellen8 That is correct. Another option would be to create a second account using a different email address. You can then upgrade this account, and the new account you create to Pandora Premium (both at the $9.99 plus tax monthly rate). However, at that point, upgrading to the Premium Family plan would be a better option - $14.99 plus tax monthly for both accounts rather than $9.99 each. Hope this helps clarify. ... View more

Can you please try reproducing this on your end once more? @Ellen8 I moved your post over to this thread: How to listen on multiple devices when upgraded You can sign into the same Pandora account on any computer or supported device, as long as you use the same email address and Pandora password. However, you won't be able to listen to that same Pandora account on multiple devices at the same time. If you are looking for a way to stream Pandora separately on your various devices simultaneously, then would need to look into upgrading to our Premium Family plan instead. With this plan, you can create a separate account for each of your devices using different email addresses. You can then add each new account to your Premium Family plan so that you can enjoy the benefits of the Premium subscription on each of your devices. @pat783earthling It sounds like you may need to check the bookmark that you use to access Pandora. It should only be: https://www.pandora.com If there is anything added onto to it (e.g., https://www.pandora.com/#/genres/top), then erase that. That is most likely the problem. @abbraxxes We actively test various approaches to better gauge whether or not we're playing to an empty room. Upgrading allows you to listen uninterrupted for longer periods of time. Pandora Plus subscribers have longer timeout periods than free listeners, and Pandora Premium subscribers have longer timeout periods than Pandora Plus subscribers. While you will experience fewer timeouts, the timeout policy does not go away. While Pandora Premium subscribers benefit from our longest period of uninterrupted listening, the only way to eliminate timeouts completely is by subscribing to Pandora for Business. This option is not an ideal solution for home use, as it involves a higher subscription fee that includes music licensing costs and must be played through special equipment. If that still interests you, you can get more information about Pandora for Business through our partners at Mood Media. For now, we've passed your thoughts along to our product team.
