Apple Subscription: Still receiving ads

Anyone buy a subscription and not have it update on the app? Not sure but I got premium and can’t choose songs and ads still play. Almost 24 hours  after paying

Pandora update - 05/15/24:

If you were charged within the last month for a subscription to Pandora through Apple and are still hearing ads, you should be able to use the following steps to get your subscription activated and returned to your account:

  1. Start by opening the Pandora app on your iOS device, and going to the Profile tab.
  2. Select Upgrade.
  3. Scroll to the very bottom of the screen and tap Retrieve Your Subscription. You may need to enter your iTunes password to confirm.

This should reapply your subscription to your account.

If you continue to experience issues with this, you will need to contact our support team directly for further assistance.

@Tflynnsl18 I do see your account was previously upgraded through Apple.

If you were charged within the last month for a subscription to Pandora through Apple and are still hearing ads, you should be able to use the following steps to get your subscription activated and returned to your account:

  1. Start by opening the Pandora app on your iOS device, and going to the Profile tab.
  2. Select Upgrade.
  3. Scroll to the very bottom of the screen and tap Retrieve Your Subscription. You may need to enter your iTunes password to confirm.

This should reapply your subscription to your account.

If you continue to experience issues with this, you will need to contact our support team directly for further assistance.

I tried doing this numerous time with no luck, about to say screw it and lose the 13 dollars and switch to Spotify cause this is unacceptable.

Pandora account says I am a premium member but still wants me to upgrade to premium and will not play my stations. I have a receipt and confirmation of premium account active through Apple ID. I cannot reach customer service for Pandora have sent 4 emails in two days.

Welcome to community!

Sorry for any delay. I checked in with our Pandora Care team and they are having a larger than usual incoming volume, an agent will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.

In the meantime, I see that you were previously upgraded through an Apple subscription. If you've recently upgraded through Apple once again and are not seeing the subscription on your account then there may have been a disconnect.

Try these steps to see if they will help restore your subscription:

  1. Start by opening the Pandora app on your iOS device, and going to the Profile tab.
  2. Select Upgrade.
  3. Scroll to the very bottom of the screen and tap Retrieve Your Subscription. You may need to enter your iTunes password to confirm.

This should reapply your subscription to your account.

I’ve purchased the premium subscription but it isn’t working. I need someone to look into the issue. My email is khmoore68@yahoo.com. Your help system is very complicated please email me directly. I’ve tried before but I’m about to go back to apple if someone can’t fix the issue.

I’ve paid for premium, yet my app still has the button saying to upgrade and my app is still in the free pandora mode so i cannot listen to anything but the radio stations. When i click the upgrade button it says that i have upgraded, yet i do not have any of the premium features. I have followed those instructions as what to do on this post, but it still does not work. I believe it may be something on the companies end?

Why am I getting ads on my pandora plus? I canceled premium and changed to plus and now pandora is acting as it’s free as version, I got charged for the the pandora plus rate but don’t get the pandora plus features

I have paid for Pandora plus since 2023 and in April of 2024 it went back to commercials in my account. I’m still paying $5.99 according to May bank statement. So my question is why was it changed and I’m still paying for it?!
